The Golden State Warriors tipped off their first regular season at Chase Center against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday and it was a memorable event. Both Chase Center and Thrive City were full of activity and excitement from Dub Nation. Here is a recap of the Warriors’ regular season opener at Chase Center.
On the morning of gameday, a new display was unveiled at the Warriors Shop to coincide with the release of Stephen Curry's new signature shoes. Crews also began assembling the sets for NBA on TNT on the plaza as well as the setup for NBC Sports Bay Area inside The Gatehouse.

About an hour before the Chase Center doors were set to open, fans were already eagerly waiting outside the East entrance. The NBA on TNT crew was out in the plaza and Dub Nation was out there in force ready to cheer on the Warriors.

The Warriors Shop in Thrive City was full of fans eager to check out the latest team gear before the game started. Right outside of the shop, fans could also participate in a free throw challenge presented by Kaiser. Anyone who could sink two free throws was awarded a special prize.

Once the Chase Center doors finally opened, fans headed to one of the numerous eateries, Warriors Shops, or to their portal to get a glimpse of the court and their free t-shirts.

Chase Center glittered in blue and red lights as Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and San Francisco native Carlos Santana led the evening with a national anthem performance. The Bay Area icon’s melodic guitar riffs were accompanied by complimentary drum beats, making it a special, one-of-a-kind performance. Soon after, the Warriors' coaches were formally introduced to the crowd followed by individual player introductions. As each member of the 2019-20 Dubs squad were formally introduced, they received a dynamic applause from the audience. The cheers turned defeaning when Warriors star Klay Thompson addressed the crowd before the game tipped off.

Fans who were still trickling into the plaza after game started were treated to live feed of the game on the large screen outside of Chase Center.

The halftime act featured performance painter David Garibaldi creating an original portrait of Warriors legend Al Attles.

After the game wrapped up, fans began trickling out towards the 3rd Street exit, but not before hanging around to see the NBA on TNT crew as well as the NBC Sports Bay Area booth to wrap up an entertaining regular-season opener at Chase enter.
