Old Skool Cafe

Old Skool Café is a 1920s speakeasy–style nonprofit restaurant with live music located in Bayview–Hunters Point. Old Skool provides training, employment, and mentorship to formerly incarcerated, foster care, and other youth facing barriers to success. Youth apprentices operate all aspects of the restaurant — hosts, chefs, and servers — as well as provide the live entertainment. The cuisine is international soul food, celebrating comfort food from around the world by highlighting Old Skool family recipes such as Tongan ceviche, West African peanut butter stew and traditional Southern fried chicken.
