Thrive City Announces Opening of the Baked Bear

Thrive City has announced that The Baked Bear, a popular dessert shop renowned for its ice cream sandwiches, will open to the public on Sunday, December 22 starting at 12 p.m. The first 50 guests in line will receive a free ice cream sandwich in celebration of the opening.

The Baked Bear will be located on the east side of Thrive City on Terry Francois Boulevard, next to Miller & Lux. Current hours of operation are 12–10 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays, and 12–11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Owned and operated by duo Henry and Salwa Halloum, The Baked Bear will offer a selection of made-from-scratch cookies and ice cream flavors, along with a variety of options such as ice cream cups, pints, sundaes, and brownie bowls. The menu will include 10 different cookie flavors and nine ice cream flavors, with vegan and gluten-free options. Limited flavors will be featured on a rotating basis, with two “cookies of the month” flavors offered each month and a seasonal ice cream flavor. Catering and delivery will also be available to local businesses and residents.

Current Thrive City retailers include Chase Bank, Che Fico, Cupcakin’ Bake Shop, Dumpling Time, GluGlu, Gott’s Roadside, Harmonic Brewing, Kayah by Burma Love, Miller & Lux, Misalignment Museum, Philz Coffee and Warriors Shop. New retailers Fikscue Craft BBQ, Senor Sisig, Splash Sports Bar, and Taco Primo are set to open in early 2025. For more information, please visit thrivecity.com.
