Thrive City Announces Misalignment Museum Grand Opening
The Golden State Warriors and Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center, announced today the addition of the Misalignment Museum, a pop-up installation that showcases the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) technology through thought-provoking art pieces. Beginning September 21, the Misalignment Museum will be open Fridays from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. (longer opening hours and events to be announced soon).
Last night, the Misalignment Museum hosted a fundraiser event at their new Thrive City space that featured a DJ set by Grimes, AI-generated cocktails, and more.
Founded and curated by Audrey Kim, the Misalignment Museum presents a space to learn about artificial intelligence and reflect on its power for both destruction and good through dynamic, playful art pieces.
The Misalignment Museum previously hosted a pop-up earlier this year in San Francisco’s Mission District and was enjoyed by visitors from all over the world with various tech and non-tech backgrounds. The museum is family and pet friendly. For more information, visit misalignmentmuseum.com.
Thrive City retailers in operation include Chase Bank, Cupcakin’ Bake Shop, Dumpling Time, GluGlu, Gott’s Roadside, Harmonic Brewing, Miller & Lux, Mission Bay Wine Bar, Philz Coffee and Warriors Shop. Additional retailers will be announced in the near future.
