Thrive City Announces Mazé by Noodle in a Haystack
Thrive City has announced that Mazé by Noodle in a Haystack, a modern ramen concept from husband-and-wife team Clint and Yoko Tan, in partnership with Vine Hospitality, will open later this year. The restaurant blends Japanese inspiration with Californian influences through a menu of modern ramen, small plates, and desserts designed for social dining.
Mazé is derived from the Japanese word meaning “to mix” or “to blend,” paired with Men, meaning “noodle.” Together, the name refers to a style of ramen focused on mixing noodles with sauces, oils, toppings, and textures before enjoyment. Rooted in recipes developed over the last decade, the concept emphasizes bold flavors and carefully sourced ingredients.
The concept was created by Clint and Yoko Tan, founders of the acclaimed San Francisco restaurant Noodle In A Haystack. Recognized by The New York Times, Bon Appétit, Michelin Guide, The Infatuation, and the San Francisco Chronicle, Noodle In A Haystack built a devoted following through its ramen-inspired tasting menu that blended Japanese, Asian and Californian influences with meticulous technique and hospitality.
Additional details, including an official opening date at Thrive City and menu information, will be announced at a later date.
