Thrive City has announced the return of the Golden State 5K, presented by Kaiser Permanente, which is set to take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The scenic 3.1-mile race will begin outside Chase Center and culminate with a celebration at Thrive City. Special pricing will be available for only 24 hours on Wednesday, June 4 in honor of Global Running Day. Registration will re-open on Wednesday, July 30. To register for the Golden State 5K, visit goldenstate5k.com.
Last year, over 2,000 runners and walkers participated in person and online during the inaugural sold-out event.
Along with the stunning views of the Bay, runners will receive Bay Area-themed race t-shirts and custom-made finisher medals. A post-race celebration at Thrive City will feature wellness activities, health-focused vendors, live entertainment and more for both runners and spectators. All participants in the race will also receive special ticket availability to an upcoming Golden State Warriors game. Details on date and timing will be announced at a later time.
Additionally, in celebration of the Golden State 5K, presented by Kaiser Permanente, the Golden State Warriors will host Runner’s Night during a game in the 2025-26 NBA season in the months leading up to the race. The night will feature an exclusive giveaway for every event ticket purchased through a special group offer, which will be available for Golden State 5K registrants.
