
Thrive City Announces 2025 Summer Programming
Thrive City has announced its 2025 summer programming schedule, which features free events from June to August including live musical performances, Pride Comedy Night, Pickleball Tournament, movie nights, fitness classes, and more. Thrive City, in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente, has hosted over 500 events since July 2023, all of which are open to the public and centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement.
Upcoming Thrive City events include:
- Thrive at Five – On various Thursdays throughout the summer until Thursday, August 28, Thrive City will welcome local Bay Area DJs and artists like Anthony Midas, DJ Umami, and more in genres like R&B, hip hop, EDM, and more for performances from 5 to 9 p.m. Select Thrive City retailers will offer specials and promotions during the event, such as buy one get one offerings, tasting flights and drinks, free arcade games, and more. - Summer Golf Day – On Sunday, June 15, Thrive City will host a Summer Golf Day from 12 to 4 p.m. featuring a Dryvebox Mobile Golf Simulator Unit, nine-hole mini-golf course, bucket golf, and a showing of golf tournaments on San Francisco’s largest outdoor video board..
- Weekly Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will host free weekly fitness classes on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, and more will be offered on a rotating basis starting June 18 to August 30.
- Little Bears Music Class – Little Bears will continue to bring live music to Thrive City with classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers on Friday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Guests can shake, rattle, and dance with their children starting June 20 to August 29.
- Paws-itively Summer, presented by PetMeds – Paws-itively Summer, presented by PetMeds, returns to Thrive City on Saturday, June 21 and Saturday, August 2. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., dog parents can bring their furry friends to frolic and meet new friends in a pup park, decorate a pet bandana, take part in photo opportunities, and more. Additionally, attendees can visit the adoption and therapy stations and learn new tricks from an animal behaviorist.
- Pride Comedy Night, presented by Accenture – Pride Comedy Night, presented by Accenture, returns to Thrive City for its third year on Thursday, June 26 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Get ready for an evening of laughter with comedians such as Pallavi Gunalan, Stroy Moyd, Oliver Graves, and more.
- California Classic Fan Fest, presented by CarMax – Before the seventh annual California Classic, presented by CarMax, takes place at Chase Center on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, Thrive City will host a fan fest featuring a basketball sport court, live entertainment, balloon artists, an appearance from a Hot Wheels Monster Truck, and more, all of which are free and open to the public.
- Matchpint at Harmonic Brewing – Every Wednesday from July 2 to July 30, Harmonic Brewing will host Matchpint, a Red Ball tennis league by USTA Northern California. Free play will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. followed by league play from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Paid entries are required to participate in the league and single drop-in matchups and will include a complimentary beer from Harmonic Brewing.
- Pickleball Tournament – On Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, Thrive City will host the annual Pickleball Tournament. In its second year, the tournament will feature nine full-sized courts and capacity for over 200 teams to compete at all skill levels. - Blankets & Blockbusters – Thrive City will continue its popular Blankets & Blockbusters series this summer with a screening of the sing-along version of “Wicked” on Saturday, July 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. and “10 Things I Hate About You” on Friday, August 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. In addition to the films, guests can enjoy themed activities, arts & crafts, photo opportunities, and more.
- Weekend Wellness, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Refresh and reset at Thrive City’s Weekend Wellness, presented by Kaiser Permanente. On July 20 and July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests can start the day with a Kickboxing & Yoga Class by Vennu Yoga before browsing through a farmer’s market with fresh produce and unwinding with a silent disco, massages, and more.
- Awesöme Orchestra – On Friday, August 1 from 6 to 9 p.m., Thrive City will host Awesöme Orchestra, a full 100+ piece orchestra composed of local Bay Area musicians for an evening of familiar favorites, iconic sports anthems and symphonic sets with Bay Area rising star La Doña and musical guest Mario Why.
- Warriors Entertainment Teams Final Auditions – The 2025-26 Warriors Entertainment Team Audition Finals for the Gold Squad, Blue Crew, Jr. Jam Squad and the Hardwood Classics will be held on Sunday, August 3 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The event will feature Franco Finn and DJ D-Sharp, as well as performers showcasing their passion for dance.
- Harmonic Jam – On Friday, August 8 from 5 to 9 p.m., head to Harmonic Brewing to enjoy jam band tunes on Thrive City’s Esplanade from renowned Dead & Co drummer Jay Lane and his dynamic trio, Jay Lane & the Mayhem.
