
Thrive City Announces 2023 Summer Programming
Thrive City has announced its 2023 summer programming schedule, which features health and wellness events, live music showcases, dog-centric programming, and more. Thrive City events, which are free and open to the public, are centered around health and wellness, arts and culture, sports and entertainment, and civic engagement. Upcoming Thrive City events include:
* Summer Golf Day – On Sunday, June 18, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., Thrive City will host a Father’s Day Summer Golf Day featuring a Dryvebox Mobile Golf Simulator Unit, putting greens, a golf instructor, and a showing of national golf tournaments on Thrive City’s 3,108 square-foot video board.
* Block Party, presented by Kaiser Permanente – To celebrate Fourth of July weekend, Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will host a Block Party on Saturday, July 1, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. featuring carnival-style attractions, local food and beverage vendors, live entertainment, and more.
* Family Fitness Sundays, presented by Kaiser Permanente – On Sunday, July 2, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Thrive City and San Francisco Bay Area Moms will tip off Family Fitness Sundays, a family-friendly event featuring yoga classes, dance parties, and more. Additional dates include July 30 and September 3.
* Health & Wellness Sundays, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will host Health & Wellness Sundays on July 23, August 20 and September 10, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The events bring fitness sessions, artisan vendors, farm fresh produce, a petting zoo and a Kaiser Permanente Sport Court.
* Weekly Fitness Classes, presented by Kaiser Permanente – Thrive City and Kaiser Permanente will continue to host free fitness classes at Thrive City every Wednesday from 12 – 1:30 p.m. through the end of August. Each class will feature fitness professionals teaching various focuses including yoga, bodyweight HIIT, dance, and Pilates.
* Paws-itively Summer – Beginning Saturday, July 8, and continuing every Saturday through the end of the month, Thrive City will host a dog-friendly series from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. featuring dog trainers, puppy mixers, photo opportunities, and more.
* Blankets and Blockbusters – Thrive City will host a free movie nights paired with themed activations, cinema-inspired snacks, and more on Saturday, July 8, July 21, July 28 and August 11.
* Live at Thrive City, presented by Chase – This live music showcase series will tip off on Thursday, July 13, from 5-7 p.m. with Latino “Casa Urbano.” The series will continue with Afrobeats Night on July 20 and a Dance Night featuring DJ’s, stilt walkers, acrobatic dancers and more on July 27. The first 100 Chase cardholders will receive a complimentary non-alcoholic drink offer distributed upon entry on a first come, first served basis.
* Harmonic Jam – Visit Harmonic Brewing at Thrive City on Friday, July 14, from 2 – 5 p.m., Saturday, July 15, from 2 – 5 p.m., and Sunday, July 16 from 1 – 4 p.m. for live music featuring the best of the Bay Area's Jam Scene, food, drinks, and more.
* Hoop It Up – On Saturday, September 2, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Hoop It Up will host a 3v3 tournament at Thrive City for all ages and abilities.
