Taco Primo to Open in Thrive City on April 22

Thrive City has announced that the new fast-casual restaurant Taco Primo will open to the public on Tuesday, April 22. Taco Primo is a modern taco concept that draws inspiration from old-school cooking techniques and the vibrant blend of Latino and American cultures in the Bay Area.

Located in Thrive City’s esplanade, next to Generation Thrive and across from Harmonic Brewing, Taco Primo offers a diverse menu including healthy salads, bowls and burritos, all featuring a choice of four slow-cooked proteins seasoned with a signature “primo spice blend:” chicken, al pastor, braised beef, and jackfruit. In addition, Taco Primo will feature signature salsas made fresh in-house daily, including salsa taquera, roasted tomatillo, and habanero. Guests can customize their meals with additions including cheese, sour cream, and house-made guacamole to make any item “primo.”

Taco Primo is the latest venture from the team behind San Francisco’s acclaimed The Snug, an innovative cocktail bar in Pacific Heights, and little shucker, a popular oyster and wine bar on Fillmore Street recognized by the New York Times. The first Taco Primo location started as a pop-up at The Snug, with its second stand-alone location now coming to Thrive City.

Taco Primo will be open seven days a week, Monday through Friday from 4–10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., with expanded weekday lunch hours coming soon. The eatery is joining a vibrant lineup of retailers at Thrive City, including The Baked Bear, Chase Bank, Che Fico Pizzeria, Cupcakin’ Bake Shop, Dumpling Time, GluGlu, Gott’s Roadside, Harmonic Brewing, Kayah by Burma Love, Miller & Lux, Philz Coffee, Senor Sisig, Splash at Thrive City, Warriors Shop, and the upcoming Fikscue Craft BBQ.
