Chase Center Announces Most Valuable Plate Food Competition

Monday December 6, 2021

Chase Center today announced the Most Valuable Plate, a fan-voting food competition which will determine the arena’s signature menu item. Beginning with the game tonight against the Orlando Magic at Chase Center, and throughout the duration of the campaign, fans will participate in a bracket style competition between eight menu items to help determine the winner, which will be announced on February 27. At the end of the season, a portion of sales of the winning item will be donated to local non-profit Bayview Makers Kitchen.

Every two weeks, fans will have a chance to vote for their favorite item in the matchup through Chase Center social media handles on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. All options will be available at an eatery on either the main or upper concourse to allow for fans to taste food items before voting. Bayview Makers Kitchen was created in 2020 to provide a space for local food makers to produce and sell their unique products. Founded through a partnership between Economic Development on Third (EDot) and OEWD (Office of Economic and Workforce Development), the Bayview Maker’s Kitchen is a low-barrier-to-entry, certified catering and food processing kitchen, where entrepreneurs can use the facility to innovate, define, build and market their products.

“Our leadership is made up of women and BIPOC entrepreneurs and residents from Bayview/Hunters Point who understand the many barriers of opening and growing a business in San Francisco,” said Executive Director of Economic Development on Third (EDot), Earl Shaddix. “We are thrilled to partner with Bon Appetit, Chase Center and the Warriors to continue to offer support for our emerging businesses in Bayview/Hunters Point and the broader Bay Area.”
