Warriors Announce GluGlu Wine Bar Set to Open at Thrive City
The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and Thrive City today announced that GluGlu wine bar will open a location on the property this Winter. GluGlu is a food and wine project from the sommelier-heavy team at Ungrafted.
GluGlu’s beverage program will offer both traditional wines made from classic grapes as well as unconventional wines from grapes and regions from around the world. In addition to wine, GluGlu will offer beer, sake, traditional rice beverages, and ciders. The food menu, influenced by Mediterranean flavors, will be cultivated by Chef David Aviles, who ran a two-Michelin-star team before taking the helm at Ungrafted and GluGlu. Information on GluGlu’s grand opening at Thrive City will be announced at a later date.
The name “GluGlu” was derived from the thirst-quenching sound made when drinking something delicious and refreshing. For more information, visit gluglusf.com.
When complete, Thrive City will feature more than 20 restaurants and retailers for neighbors and visitors to enjoy year-round. Current Thrive City retailers in operation include Chase Bank, Dumpling Time, Gott’s Roadside, Harmonic Brewing, Miller & Lux, Philz Coffee and Warriors Shop.
