Warriors and Chase Center to Host 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

The back-to-back NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and Chase Center, the Warriors new 18,064-seat privately financed sports and entertainment arena in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, today announced that Chase Center will host this year’s J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. For the third consecutive year, the Warriors Community Foundation will also serve as the beneficiary partner of the event and will donate to various local charities.

“J.P. Morgan’s generous contribution to the Warriors Community Foundation enables us to support powerful community programs that are changing the lives of young people on both sides of the Bay,” said Melanie Moore, Warriors Community Foundation Executive Director. “We are so grateful to be the beneficiary of this exciting event!”

This year’s race night will also include the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, bringing together the best full-time working runners in the world from all 13 cities and seven countries in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series.

Now in its 43rd year, the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series is the world’s largest after-work sporting and social event with over 255,000 participants in 2018. Featuring a 3.5-mile run and creative post-race hospitality, it reaches a full capacity of entrants each year in San Francisco, where it was first held in 1983. Its popularity has surged since 2009 when it moved to the China Basin, with the majority of the race course on The Embarcadero

Last year’s San Francisco race drew a sold-out crowd of 10,500 runners from 363 local companies. Representing the Warriors Community Foundation at the event were former player, Adonal Foyle, and 2018 Warriors’ first-round draft pick, Jacob Evans.

“We’re delighted to have this amazing synergy with the Warriors and Chase Center, hosting this year’s J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge,” said Ariel Lin, Global Head of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series. “And it could not be more appropriate than to have the back-to-back NBA Champions, with their global brand strength, welcoming our Championship runners to the Bay Area.”
